Systems & Workflow Implementation
You know what needs fixing. Now you need someone to help get it working.
A process has too many manual steps. Your systems aren’t sharing the information they need to. Or an improvement keeps sitting on the list because no one has the time to carry it through.
You have a specific problem to address. You need someone who can work through the details, implement the change, and help you put it into use.
I take a defined operational improvement and help turn it into a working process, system, or workflow that fits your business.
Get the improvement off the list and into the business.
Knowing what needs to change doesn’t mean you have the capacity to make it happen.
You may need a system configured around your actual work, a better way to move information between tools, or a process that someone else can follow without asking you about every step.
I help define what the finished result needs to do, carry out the agreed work, and test it before handoff.
You leave with the improvement in place and a clearer understanding of how to use and maintain it.
This may be a good fit if…
- You’ve identified a process that needs clearer steps, responsibilities, or handoffs.
- You’ve selected a tool and need help setting it up around the work.
- Your team recreates the same information across multiple systems.
- A process depends heavily on one person remembering what happens next.
- You need practical documentation to support a defined workflow.
- You’ve identified an automation opportunity and the underlying process is ready.
You don’t need to arrive with every technical detail figured out. The problem and intended outcome need to be clear enough to scope the project responsibly.
What I can help implement
Each project focuses on a defined operational improvement. Depending on the need, the work may include:
Workflow improvement
Clarifying or redesigning the steps, ownership, handoffs, and exceptions within a process.
Systems setup and configuration
Setting up a new system or improving how an existing tool supports the work.
System connections
Connecting tools and information flows so work doesn’t have to be recreated in multiple places.
Process documentation
Creating agreed SOPs, checklists, or reference materials so the process is easier to follow.
Automation where it makes sense
Building automation around a defined process, including appropriate checks and human review.
Your project may involve one of these or a combination. The proposal will identify what’s included and what the finished result should do.
Examples from my work
From spreadsheets to a connected system
In a previous operations leadership role, I led an ERP implementation for a beauty brand whose inventory and order information had become difficult to manage across disconnected systems.
The work included data cleanup and migration, system configuration, training, and accounting integration.
The implementation was completed in eight weeks, giving the business a shared source of information across channels and contributing to 30% less manual work.
Supporting wholesale orders through EDI
In my previous beauty operations work, I coordinated EDI workflows for Sephora US and Canada and Cult Beauty.
The work supported the exchange of purchase orders, shipment information, and invoices, with attention to retailer requirements and the operational steps behind those transactions.
Making existing systems usable for a new owner
A small business under new ownership had inherited disconnected accounts and outdated configurations.
I resolved an account access issue, connected key accounts, improved existing setups, and walked the owner through how to manage them going forward.
These examples reflect different project sizes. Your scope and timeline will be based on the improvement your business needs.
What you’ll walk away with
The agreed improvement, implemented and tested
A process, system, or workflow that has been checked against the requirements established at the start.
Clearer ownership
An understanding of who is responsible for running the process, managing the system, and handling exceptions after handoff.
Practical documentation and a walkthrough
The agreed instructions and reference materials, along with a walkthrough so you or the person taking ownership can use the result.
A clear project close
A summary of what was completed, any known limitations, and what needs routine attention going forward.
How it works
1. Confirm the project
We’ll define the problem, intended outcome, deliverables, exclusions, and dependencies.
Your proposal will set out the fee, schedule, and what completion looks like before work begins.
2. Design the improved setup
I’ll work through how the process or system should operate, including responsibilities, information flow, and relevant exceptions.
3. Implement the change
I’ll carry out the agreed work, which may include configuration, system connections, workflow changes, documentation, or automation.
4. Test and refine
I’ll test the agreed setup using representative scenarios and relevant exceptions. You or the person responsible for the process will participate in checking that it supports the intended work.
Issues that prevent the agreed deliverables from meeting the completion criteria are addressed before project close. Requests for additional functionality are scoped separately.
5. Walk through the handoff
I’ll provide the agreed documentation and walkthrough, confirm ongoing ownership, and explain any routine checks or maintenance the setup needs.
Clear scope from the start
Before work begins, we’ll agree on:
- The deliverables and what falls outside the project.
- The access, information, decisions, and participation needed from you.
- Relevant software or third-party dependencies.
- The testing, documentation, and handoff included.
- How the work will be reviewed and confirmed complete.
If another issue or opportunity comes up, I’ll explain how it affects the project.
Any additional work, fee, or schedule change will be agreed before I proceed. New requests may belong in a later phase or a separate project.
Support after handoff
Your proposal will specify a period after handoff for reporting issues with the delivered work, along with the support included and expected response times.
An issue within that support period that prevents the work from meeting the agreed requirements will be addressed within the project terms.
New features, changes to your business process, routine monitoring, and changes caused by software updates or third-party services require separate support or maintenance arrangements.
You’ll know what support is included and who is responsible after the project ends.
Timeline and investment
Each project is quoted at a fixed fee after scope confirmation.
The fee reflects the work required to design, implement, test, document, and hand over the agreed improvement.
Any required software subscriptions or third-party costs will be identified separately.
The timeline is confirmed in your proposal.
Timing depends on the complexity of the work, the systems involved, and the availability of access, information, and decisions. Where third-party providers are involved, their requirements and schedules also matter.
If a dependency changes or something delays progress, I’ll explain the effect on the schedule and agree the next steps with you.
What clients appreciate
“What I appreciated most was her patience, knowledge, and ability to explain things in a way that was easy to understand. Beyond the technical work, she helped me identify where technology and automation could improve our business operations, while emphasizing the importance of getting our processes organized first.”

Do you need an assessment first?
Not always.
If the issue is clear and there’s enough information to define the work responsibly, we may be able to move straight into implementation.
If understanding the problem requires a closer investigation of the workflow or systems, I may recommend an Operations & Systems Assessment first.
If you have one specific question or decision to discuss, an Ops Advisory Session may be enough.
And if you need recurring operational judgment, coordination, and implementation, an Ongoing Operations Partnership may be a better fit.
Have something specific that needs fixing?
Let’s talk about the improvement you have in mind, what a working result would look like, and whether I’m the right person to help.
The Intro Call is a fit conversation. Detailed project design and implementation take place within the paid engagement.
